[03|05|2004] Culture in Central Brazil: debates and speeches starting today
Central Brazil Cultural Seminar debates and lectures start this morning until May 17 at the Contemporary Art Museum (Marco). The official opening occurred last Sunday at Marco Auditorium with the presence of Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Distrito Federal and Tocantins State Culture Managers besides artists and cultural producers.
The program starts at 9 am with the presentation of the Global Cultural Forum (GCF) and will be introduced by Iara Pietricovsky, actress, anthropologist and GCF Counseling Director Member and by Guilherme Reis, Federal District Cultural Producer.
At 9:30 am "Culture in Central Brazil" debate starts and it will be conducted by Silvio Nucci, Culture, Sports and Leisure Culture Secretary; Pedro Henrique Lopes Libório, Federal District Culture Secretary; Meire Maria Monteiro, Tocantins Cultural Foundation President and Agnaldo Caiado da Costa Freire, Goiás Culture Secretary Representative.
There will be a break at 10:15 am with the presentation of Funk-se group. Afterwards, at 10:30 am works at table "Central Brazil Cultural Identification and Integration" will be presented with debaters Dante Filho, journalist; Eliel Benitez, Guarani Professor and Maria Amélia Assis Alves Crivelente, Doctor in History and UFMT Professor.
Participants leave at noon for lunch and come back at 2 pm for workshop "Culture Economics" with debaters: Nelson Rodrigues, Cultural Producer; Yacoff Sarkovas, Cultural Marketing Consultant and Angelo Arruda, Architect.
At 5 pm performances by poet Emmanuel Marinho, dancer Lucyanna Pettengill and musician Marcelo Loureiro . The event cultural program continues presenting at 8 pm Vera and Zuleica show coming from Mato Grosso and South-Mato-Grosso bands "Filho dos Livres" and "Olho de Gato". Presentations will have place at "Galícia Eventos" at 354 rua Gonçalo Alves.
