The Global Convention is in the center of the Global Cultural Forum, offering a space of reflex ion about cultural perspectives and social realities. It is an open platform for discussion and exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge stimulated by conferences, workshops, related activities, billboards and other intellectual, politic, artistic demonstrations and provocation. Global Convention will gather creators, academics, intellectuals, scientists, educators, strengthening interchanges and communication between different continental cultural agents.

Six general and interdisciplinary themes are presented at he Convention. Five convention days with central conferences, debates, associated activities and billboards.
"José", poem by the Brazilian Poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade anticipates the perplexity signed at this beginning of century. It shows the end of utopia, designs the frame of incertitude circling us the claudicate composition of many questions and few answers. It suggests the popularization and insipid culture ground swell emerging from assembly line impelled by the growing consumption.
