Resumo
Quais são as institucionalidades proeminentes no campo cultural brasileiro, de que contextos emergiram e a que desafios ou expectativas vieram responder? Em conjunto, dispostas no aparelho estatal, esparsamente na sociedade civil ou nas sutis fronteiras entre ambos, configuram um pluralismo em que os papéis atribuídos e historicamente desenvolvidos são complementares, ou, de maneira indesejável e sem a racionalização adequada, apresentam sobreposições, pouca ou nenhuma clareza quanto aos seus lugares imaginados (se é que foram) pelas diretrizes das políticas culturais? Certamente, o desafio de se produzir uma taxonomia para o campo cultural com profundo detalhamento e com a qual se distinga entre outros aspectos os regimes jurídicos vigentes não se viabiliza individualmente e na extensão de um artigo, todavia, julgamos imprescindível realizar a provocação e, assim, quem sabe despertar maior interesse para o necessário debate.

Abstract
What are the prominent institutions in the brazilian cultural field, of what contexts have arisen and the what challenges or expectations
they respond to? Together in the state apparatus, sparsely in civil society or on the subtle frontiers of both, constitute a pluralism in which the roles assigned and historically developed are complementary, or in an undesirable way and without adequate rationalization present overlaps, little or no clarity as to their imagined places (if any) by the guidelines of cultural policies? Certainly, the challenge of producing a taxonomy for the cultural field with deep detailing and with which to distinguish among other aspects the current legal regimes is not feasible individually and in the extension of one article, however,we believe that it is essential to carry out the provocation and thus perhaps increase the increase the interest in the necessary debate.
