RESUMO
O presente estudo busca relacionar a produção de eventos culturais — sobretudo a partir da perspectiva da figura do gestor cultural — à preservação do patrimônio, seja ele material ou imaterial. A partir do estudo de caso da Festa Literária Internacional de Paraty (Flip), evento que tem no Centro Histórico de Paraty o território elementar na construção de sua programação e de sua marca, a intenção das autoras é avaliar se há indícios de que a Flip se relaciona com a preservação de seu entorno e como se dá esse relacionamento. Esta investigação se deu a partir de um desenho qualitativo de pesquisa, tendo como destaques a análise documental e a realização de entrevistas em profundidade com diferentes agentes culturais envolvidos na relação entre evento, cidade e população.

ABSTRACT
The present study aims to relate the production of cultural events — especially from the perspective of the cultural manager figure — to the preservation of cultural heritage, be it material or immaterial. Based on the case study of the International Literary Festival of Paraty (Flip), an event that has the Historic Center of Paraty as elementary territory to the construction of its programming and brand, the authors’ intention is to evaluate whether there are indications that the Flip relates to the preservation of its surroundings and how this relationship takes place. This investigation used a qualitative research design, having, as highlights,
the documentary analysis and the conduct of in-depth interviews with different cultural agents involved in the relationship among event, city and population.
