RESUMO
Este artigo trata da urgência em melhorar as numerosas alianças existentes entre o setor de turismo e a Agenda 2030 para o Desenvolvimento Sustentável. A primeira parte aborda a importância do Enfoque Baseado nos Direitos Humanos (EBDH) para consolidar os direitos humanos em cada um dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). A segunda parte indaga a importância do enfoque de gênero na Agenda 2030, a fim de explorar seu caráter transformador. A terceira parte trata do setor do turismo na Agenda 2030. Em seguida a análise concentra-se no trabalho turístico com enfoque de gênero, tomado como um bom exemplo de implementação da Agenda 2030, levando em conta o EBDH e longe da lógica do turismo sustentável. Para concluir, sugere-se que a chave para abordar corretamente o trabalho digno sensível ao gênero não é ater-se ao disposto no ODS 5 (igualdade de gênero), mas incorporar o enfoque de gênero de forma transversal no ODS 8 (crescimento econômico sustentável e trabalho digno).

ABSTRACT
This article covers the urgent need for improvement the current alliances between tourism development and the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development. The first part of the article addresses the importance of Human Right - Based Approach to consolidate human rights in all Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The second part tackles the importance of gender equality at the core of the Agenda 2030 to stress on its transformative approach for sustainable development. The third section is about Tourism into the Agenda 2030. Following this part, the analysis of the article is focused on Gender Responsive Tourism Employment as a good example for the implementation of the Agenda 2030, along with considering Human Right - Based Approach and away from the mindset of the well-known sustainable tourism. The conclusions remark that the key for a meaningful work on Gender Responsive Tourism Employment is not meant to be based on SDG5 (Gender equality), but rather in mainstreaming gender equality into SDG8 (Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all).
